Lindy knows the EdTech market in and out as she has spent her career in various education roles, including a 1:1 teacher and technology integration specialist. In addition to various roles, Lindy has worked in virtually every area of education. Her consulting work over the last ten years has taken her to schools across the world. These experiences have given her a unique perspective on K-12 education. She uses these experiences to engage educators in learning experiences and provide her brain to EdTech companies. She is the author of "A Teacher's Guide to AI" and “A Teacher's Guide to Online Learning.”

Will you succeed at integrating the mystery ingredient? Experience "Chopped: AI Stars" where you will face challenges with various mystery ingredients, including a special AI ingredient. Walk away with the experience, an instructional strategy and the resources to make it happen in your classroom.

Purpose & objective

Purpose:
The primary aim of the "Chopped: AI Stars" session is to immerse educators in an AI-friendly teaching strategy. This hands-on experience is designed to showcase the potential of integrating AI into classroom activities, emphasizing the enhancement of creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability in the learning process.

Objectives:

Experience an AI-Integrated Teaching Strategy: Participants will actively engage in the "Chopped: AI Stars" activity, gaining firsthand experience of how AI can be seamlessly integrated into classroom challenges. This direct involvement will equip educators with a clear understanding of the strategy's mechanics and benefits.

Adaptation Brainstorming: Educators will collaborate in groups to brainstorm and discuss potential adaptations of the "Chopped: AI Stars" strategy to fit their unique classroom environments, subjects, and student needs. This collaborative process will ensure that participants leave with a version of the strategy tailored to their specific teaching context.

Designing AI-Integrated Challenges: Through guided sessions, participants will delve into the design process of creating AI-integrated challenges. Emphasis will be placed on fostering creativity and critical thinking among students. Educators will be equipped with the tools and knowledge to design challenges that not only integrate AI but also ensure that students' higher-order thinking skills are at the forefront of the learning experience.

By the end of the session, educators will be empowered with a practical, adaptable AI-integrated teaching strategy, ready for immediate implementation in their classrooms.
