Karmin has been in education for 21years. Early in her career she discovered her passion for sharing with educators how to use instructional strategies to be more effective. Karmin's goal is for teachers to make a "change in instruction", and technology integration is a way to support teaching and learning. Now with Raymore-Peculiar, Karmin has the opportunity to see her goal come alive. The district's BYOD initiative has Karmin working with the district's Technology director to implement a targeted professional development plan. In the district's first year of BYOD Karmin has facilitated PD to over 100 teachers each month.
