iTools for education is a full day immersion into designing curriculum materials using the Apple Ecosystem. Create new content and instructional materials for your favorite lesson(s) (elementary, secondary and higher education) or design materials for administrators on the iPad. Learn to build courses, make presentations, interactive books, and projects using app workflows with a collection of Apple tools. Choose between a general overview, hopping from station to station, or stick to one and dive in deep creating robust content. Leave with a solid start to redeveloped curriculum materials under the guidance of Apple Distinguished Educators. Novice to advanced iPad users are invited.

Purpose & objective

Explore the possibilities with Apple learning technologies! In this learning academy presenters will:
· Explore/demonstrate possibilities for using the Apple ecosystem in their curriculum framework · Demonstrate the use of technologies and hands-on tutorials · Provide guides hands-on work time · Share professional resources developed
Participants will leave with a developed unit for their classroom if they:
1. Bring a unit to be developed
2. Learn how iTunes U can help support a unit workflow
3. Establish an iTunes U course to be used for the project
4. Learn how to create interactive books for use with students
5. Add resources and books created to the iTunes U course
6. Add resources and apps to help guide students through the workflow of a unit

Bea is a frequent presenter at local and regional educational conferences, and has also presented internationally in Mexico, Colombia, and Ireland. In her free time, Bea photographs insects.
