Getting Around Town

Denver is a walkable city with restaurants, shopping and services within easy reach of the convention center. However, several hotels are located outside a convenient distance and you may not have the ability to bring or rent a car while at ISTE 2016. Affordable transportation options are available.

Shuttle schedule

ISTE provides shuttle service between a number of the official conference hotels and the CCC. Transit time for most hotel shuttle routes is approximately 30 minutes*. Please plan accordingly as transit times may differ due to unforeseen traffic conditions. Shuttle times listed are FIRST BUS from hotels and LAST BUS from Colorado Convention Center for the day.

Saturday: 6:30 a.m. -­ 6:15 p.m.
Sunday: 6:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Monday and Tuesday: 6:30 a.m. - 7:45 p.m.
Wednesday: 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SAFETY TIPS

  • Travel with another attendee, colleague or friend. Traveling to the conference by yourself? Get to know fellow attendees ahead of time in the ISTE 2016 Network and plan to meet up.
  • Carry bags, purses and valuables in front of your body.
  • Stay alert to your surroundings.
  • Know before you go where and how to get tickets, how much you should pay and hours of operation for various transportation options. Have a backup!
  • Ask hotel or convention center staff to help you find reliable services.

NEW TRAIN IN 2016

Denver will be launching the new A-line train service operating between the Denver International Airport and Union Station downtown in April 2016. The 37-minute journey will be an affordable option for traveling to the convention center area.

TRAVEL FROM ANYWHERE

Taxis and services such as Lyft and Uber are alternatives to renting a car. Need to share the cost? Connect with other attendees on the ISTE 2016 Network who are staying in the same area and willing to share.

TRAVEL FROM CHERRY CREEK

  • Combine your exercise with your commute! Use Denver’s bike-sharing program and travel on the Cherry Creek bike path for $9 per 24-hour period (30-minute ride or less).
  • Schedule with Uber and catch a ride for $12-$16 each way.

TRAVEL FROM STAPLETON

  • New A-line train stations at Peoria or Central Park will get you downtown for $9 or less.
  • Uber will cost you $14-$18 each way.
  • Some Stapleton hotels have shuttle service to/from the convention center.
