Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

Participants will be introduced to a wide variety of Add-ons available with Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms. Add-ons allow for extra features that can enhance the experience for both teacher and students.

Participants will learn how Add-ons can accomplish the following tasks: create assessments that can be automatically graded and provide instant feedback for students; manage assignment workflow through automated data merge; promote student collaboration and effective research skills; and design efficient classroom systems.

Participants will be encouraged to get hands-on by playing with the various Add-ons as they are demonstrating. They will be provided with templates and examples they can use immediately during the workshop.

Participants will have access to my presentation, templates, examples, and backchannel discussion through my resource website (attached). This website will be made available after the workshop as well so they can refer back to it if they need help back in the classroom.

Through demonstrations, discussions, backchannel conversations, and gettings hands-on with the templates and examples, participants will be able to show they’ve successfully learned a new way to “hack the classroom” with Google Drive Add-ons.
