Wi-Fi is provided in all convention center meeting rooms and public spaces, excluding the expo hall floor. It’s also available in designated workshop rooms at the Grand Hyatt.

ISTE invests tremendously in the onsite internet and power services, and our goal is to provide a positive experience for everyone at ISTE 2017. You can help by being mindful of your bandwidth usage and avoiding large downloads or streaming while onsite.

Lost and found

If you find an item during the conference, please bring it to the information booth. If you lost an item, please check with the information booth before Wednesday, June 28 at 3 p.m. After that time, all items will be turned over to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and held there for approximately 30 days.

Non-fee preregistration events

Preregistration is required for some sessions, such as BYODs and select meetings and forums. Seats not filled five minutes before the scheduled start time will be released to those waiting in the standby line on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Fee preregistration events

Preregistration and additional fees are required for some sessions, such as workshops and select meetings and forums. Any unsold seats can be purchased at the door. Sold seats that are not filled will be released 15 minutes after the start time.

Tips and FAQ

Your best bet is to plan ahead by creating your schedule on the conference website or mobile app.

Many sessions are highly interactive, so if you miss the first 10 or 15 minutes it can be hard to catch up. That’s why we strive to fill the room with participants who are on time and ready to learn.

The purpose of session registration is to minimize the amount of time you have to stand in line.

Each conference center is different with regard to the size and number of rooms available. In each location, we do our best to maximize seating for sessions while still keeping the learning environment small enough for participants to interact with presenters (where possible) and allow for a more enjoyable attendee experience.

Additional accommodations

Mother’s Room

ISTE supports its littlest learners! A nursing mother’s room is available in Room 2137, Level 2 near Park View Lobby and Room 1212, Street Level along hallway between Main Lobby and Bridge Lobby.

An ADA mini-shuttle will be available on an on-call basis. Call 210.582.7003 at least 30 minutes prior to desired pick-up time for service.
