ISTE Standards

For nearly 20 years, ISTE has created standards that provide a framework for teaching, learning and leading in an increasingly digital world. The family of standards work in concert to support students, educators and leaders with clear guidelines for the skills, knowledge and approaches needed to succeed in the digital age.

Refresh of the ISTE Standards for Administrators

At ISTE 2017, we’ll kick off the refresh of the ISTE Standards for Administrators with a special, registration-required event exploring the question, What does a digital age leader look like?

Throughout the year-long refresh process, ISTE will be researching and crowdsourcing the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed by future-focused leaders, and identifying the the unique challenges faced by leaders in various roles — from district-level administrators to site principals and assistant principals.
