Phil Hintz is the Director of Technology for Gurnee School District 56 in Gurnee, Illinois where he has been for the past 12 years. Phil has presented at many Ed-tech venues including ICE, ISTE, FETC, iPadpalooza, and Tech & Learning Summits. In 2015 Phil was chosen as ISTE’s Outstanding Leader of the Year. In 2016, Phil was awarded NSBA’s top “20 to Watch”. In 2017, Phil was awarded Honorable Mention for CoSN’s Withrow CTO Award as well as the runner-up for Tech & Learning Magazine’s “Leader of the Year”. Also this summer, Phil’s district received the ISTE Distinguished District Award.
