Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

The purpose of this session is to provide attendees with the information and knowledge to create their own student led broadcast.

As a result of participation in this poster session, participants will be able to;
*set up their own green screen production studio
*use TouchCast and DoInk green screen editing software
*facilitate student production groups
*incorporate the green screen into cross curricular standards

Electronic resources:
"TouchCast" is an app that allows the user to annotate and present easily and quickly. It allows you to create videos using webpages, images, files, nearly anything and then broadcast and share across the web.
"DoInk" is a green screen app that offers "ease of use" and simplicity for students while offering effective results for video production.

Evidence of Success:
Our Tiger News Network was extremely successful in its first year of production. Students and staff were eager to "tune in" each morning to gain information, stay abreast of current events and see what fun things our production team had incorporated each week. The success was made even more evident our 2nd year with over 40 students applying to be involved in the areas of editing, recording, writing, and anchoring the broadcast. The broadcast was published daily to the school website and linked to social media for classrooms to view as well as families.
