The ISTE Teacher Educator Network (TEN) supports the annual Journal of Digital Learning in Teacher Education, Outstanding Research Paper award paper presentation on Technology Proficiency Self-Assessment (TPSA) survey, a reliable and valid instrument worthy of use with preservice and in-service educators for planning professional development related to technology integration.

This session will present award winning research from the prior volume year of JDLTE with the highest possibility to advance the field of teacher education, based on the criteria of potential impact and contribution, innovativeness, and generalizability or usability.
Dr. Hansen is a collegiate professor and program chair at the University of Maryland University College where he leads the MS in Learning Design & Technology and the edX Instructional Design and Technology MicroMaster’s program. In 2015 Dr. Hansen was selected by the Center for Digital Education’s as a Top 30 Technologists, Transformers and Trailblazers. In 2016, the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) awarded him a 2016 Making IT Happen award. In 2017, he was elected to the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Board of Directors.
