Using Quizlet Live, I will show you how to run a engaging, fun, and simple vocabulary day in your classroom. You will learn to leverage Quizlet and the community of teachers already using Quizlet to enhance your vocabulary review.

Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

Participants will:

- learn how to utilize the online community of teacher in quizlet to find vocabulary lists for their students
- become familiar with quizlet live as a review/activation methods for vocabulary knowledge review and activation
- learn how to get information on student outcomes from the review sessions to direct their instruction or assessment
- engage in collaborative activities to review concepts using their device (any smartphone, tablet, or computer will work).


Part A - Instructor Led 10 Minutes

Instructor will lead a demonstration of the online quizlet community as a place to find ready made vocabulary lists for student use. Participants will be shown the variety of games and resources quizlet provides to students for studying. Participants will also be shown how to create and curate their own vocabulary lists. Instructor will demonstrate how to use Quizlet Live in the classroom to review and activate knowledge.

Part B - Participant Engagement 15 minutes

Participants, using their device, will engage in a few rounds of quizlet live. This will require participants to move to form teams and work in those teams to answer questions as quickly as possible. A small prize will be provided for each round winning team.

Part C - Leveraging Results 5 minutes

Instructor will show participants the results reporting in quizlet live as a way to use the game to guide instruction or assessment.
