The purposeful design of tech-rich learning experiences can enhance classroom collaboration and honor curiosity in the context of creation experiences for students. This interactive session will explore how with thoughtful planning and purposeful connection to learning objectives, students can become creators in your classroom as they explore any subject.

Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

With such a dizzying array of mechanical and virtual help at our disposal, it can be a challenge for educators to know where to start. This session will strategies, tools, and insights that teachers can use, regardless of subject or grade level. Attendees will learn how to effectively incorporate technology in the classroom focusing on the "three Cs" of technology implementation—creation, curiosity, and collaboration.
Educators who attend this session will walk away with (1) Advice and copious examples of tech-infused lessons that help students meet learning goals while also developing vital digital citizenship skills, (2) Ideas for customizable support materials to use during tech-enabled activities, (3) a framework for placing learning front and center while leveraging the power of digital tools.
