Technology is deeply embedded in the curriculum and instruction of many of our schools. Teachers and students are actively learning to work with new tools and programs on a regular basis but parents are often left out of the learning. This session explores ways to help our parents understand the technology their children are using and become an additional support to their students. From access to training, parent engagement is critical for a strong digital learning community. Participants will leave with ideas and access to resources to implement a Digital Parent Engagement program in their school sites and district. The curriculum used for two "Parent EdTech" 5 week courses will be shared as well as details for implementation.
