Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

The primary purpose of the Digital Equity Network Playground is to provide a large number of interactive booths to exemplify some or all of the characteristics of access and opportunity for all students and educators. Through examples of creative and equitable classroom and community activities concentrated on closing the achievement gap, participants will leave with an awareness of equal access initiatives and tools to focus their efforts more strategically on closing the achievement gap.

Outline

We will have multiple Presentations during this session that will showcase successful strategies, awareness campaigns, community action plans, and professional development concepts that address the following areas: Digital Divide, Digital Inclusion, Equity in Access, Net Neutrality, Digital Literacy and the Homework Gap.
