Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

The purpose of this presentation is to help educators use Chrome efficiently and effectively. This will be a hands-on session with many resources and strategies particular to educators. Many of the tools will also benefit students and enhance learning. As the workshop progresses, the tools will be used together to create unique results. Participants will leave feeling like they have superpowers and be able to use what they have learned immediately.

Outline

This will be a hands-on session. The audience will participate throughout the session. It will be fun but intense. They will add extensions and practice strategies while asking questions and participating in polling and sharing.

Samantha Morra, Elisabeth Morrow School

Samantha Morra is an educator with over 25 years experience as a teacher, technology coordinator, administrator, and educational consultant. She earned two Master’s Degrees: Educational Technology and Educational Leadership and Administration. She is a Google Certified Innovator and RaspberryPi Certified Educator. She has presented at conferences and led workshops for educators across the US and Canada. Samantha’s views on 21st-century learning and teaching have been in the New York Times, Star-Ledger, ISTE’s Learning & Leading with Technology magazine, NJN’s Classroom Close Up, the ABC Network special issues on education and she has contributed to several books.
