As the Los Angeles Unified School District was the first District in the nation to adopt the refreshed 2016 ISTE Standards for Students, the Instructional Technology Initiative (ITI) continues to create systems and processes to implement the standards District-wide. For example, a critical effort involves assigning a one-year coach to select schools to build the capacity of school leaders around the implementation of the ISTE Standards.
As a result of attending this session, participants will:
Learn how to develop and structure a one-year coaching model to support the implementation of the ISTE Standards in elementary and secondary schools.
Engage in dialogue and discussion around evidence of ISTE Standards impact on instructional practices.
Explore new ways of monitoring growth and understanding of the ISTE Standards.
As a result of attending this session, participants will:

I am an Instructional Technology Facilitator (ITF) with LAUSD. I have been passionate about educational technology for over 20 years. I was honored to have the opportunity to present my experience as an ITF at the ISTE 2018 conference. I am also part of the inaugural group of educators who went through the first ISTE certification process in the Summer and Fall of 2018. I am a Google for Education Certified Trainer, Google Education Level 1 & 2 certified, and I aspire to be a Google Innovator. Additionally, I am a Microsoft Innovative Educator and Trainer.
