Mark Smith is the Executive Director of MACUL - the Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning. MACUL is an organization with over 25,000 members supporting technology integration in education throughout Michigan and beyond. Prior to his role at MACUL, Mark was the Dean of STEM at the L&N STEM Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was the primary author of a high school STEM elective course recognized by the state of Tennessee and adopted by several schools as best practice. During his time at the L&N Academy, he launched a 1:1 STEM Mentorship program and developed over 300 STEM partnerships with nearly 100 organizations. Mark is a 2001 Graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law and 1998 Graduate of James Madison University where he focused on Integrated Science and Technology.
