ISTE is always pushing the envelope to inspire educators along their unique professional learning journeys. Explore what’s new from ISTE in 2019!
"Your Edtech Questions", ISTE’s educator-focused podcast, launched in January and has completed season one with episodes on topics including computational thinking, digital citizenship, device distractions and how to use ESSA funding. The "Ed Influencers" podcast, ISTE’s leadership-focused podcast, launched earlier this year. In each episode, ISTE Chief Learning Officer Joseph South sits down with an education leader who’s helping to transform teaching and learning to find out what makes these influencers tick and what’s next for edtech. Season two of both podcasts will be coming soon!
As ISTE builds on its commitment to redefine and teach digital citizenship, join our #DigCitCommit design session and give voice to a national campaign and call to action to encourage educators to shift the conversation from one of fear and negativity (don’ts) to one of inclusivity, empathy and action (do’s).
Course of Mind, ISTE’s new learning sciences initiative, will launch at ISTE19 and focuses on using edtech in the classroom in more meaningful ways by leveraging the learning sciences. The project includes a podcast series, blog posts, webinars, Twitter chats and online courses to increase awareness and understanding of the learning sciences.
Just one year after the launch of ISTE Certification for Educators, over 1,500 educators, school and district leaders, edtech coaches, PD professionals, school librarians and media specialists, and even higher education faculty have enrolled in the program. We’ve partnered with 13 Certification Authorized Providers (CAPs) in all 50 states and the Asia-Pacific region. Learn more.
