The purpose of this session is for participants to be exposed to different augmented reality tools that they can immediately bring back to their classroom. A majority of these tools are free and therefore need no materials to use. These tools of the specified for the science classroom can be transferred into other subject areas as well. The exposure will be to the tools as well as methodologies to incorporate these tools into specifically the science classroom.
Content and activities:
- Explorer and Galactic Explorer by Merge cube (Must create a FREE Account on Merge Cube to use)
- HP Reveal (Must create a FREE Account on HP Reveal to use. Make sure to follow aklebanoff)
- Virtuali-tee exposure to heartbeat and VR into the human body

- Free Raffle for Virtualitee and Merge Cubes at the end!

Amber Klebanoff is an Assistant Manager of Emerging Technologies for the Lower Hudson Regional Information Center in Westchester County, NY. A Google Education Trainer and Certified Google Administrator, she works closely with teachers, students and administrators implementing, shaping and redesigning curriculum for effective instructional integration. Amber’s background in curriculum and instruction as well as 10 years of classroom experience, has helped hone her skills for successful technology integration in the GAFE environment.
