Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

Participants will be able to start a coding club in their schools today. They will learn how to find curriculum, location, and gain buy-in from faculty and staff members. Learners will see examples of how one district successfully implemented a coding club at each middle school, created a girl's coding club, and a Girl's only computer science conference WITHOUT a budget.

The tool used is Google CS First program.

Outline

Participants will be fully immersed in the presentation. They will join a class and begin a coding session. As participants learn to code, they will learn how important it is to be a clear and concise writer.
