Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

Participants will learn how our Title 1 school introduced personalized professional development while incorporating a STEAM model for students. We will begin with a short 2-3 minute video to tell our story about how our culture as a site has changed by connecting staff, encouraging risk taking, and offering new experiences for our teachers as well as students. The first portion will focus on different ways to bring personalized PD to a school through Google Classroom with an on-site leader. Examples of what teachers have worked on, a PD plan for action, sample schedules, ideas to get started, our culminating staff meeting of teacher-led breakout sessions and more will all be shared. Next, we will discuss how to bring a STEAM model to a school site, the benefits, sample schedules, and variations of how this can be accomplished. We will share how having these set up with a simultaneous schedule allows for BOTH amazing experiences to happen! It’s an EDventure for EVERYONE!
