We'll explore professional learning strategies to engage, inspire and build community. The following four pillars will serve as the framework: inviting investment, pushing possibilities, interesting interactions and maintaining momentum. This session is jam-packed with hands-on and minds-on activities that will allow you to transform theory into practice.

Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

Working with adult learners has its unique set of challenges and avenues which increase success. In this workshop, we will explore ways to boost not just participation in learning opportunities but to fill them with joy and laughter while engaging in the experience.

Participants will..... Develop a toolkit of resources and techniques for designing prioritized and impactful professional learning Reimagine and reinvent previously utilized/implemented pd opportunities based on reflection from the 4 pillars of professional learning. Strategically plan to incorporate at least 3-5 strategies for future job-embedded professional learning aligned to school and/or district goals.

Participants... will utilize technology to support discussions and elicit more responses from adult learners. We will leverage the G Suite tools in unique ways, explore padlet and its new features, Voxer, Twitter, and Screencasting.

Participants...will engage in the activities as participants and then discuss reactions to the work. We will employ roleplaying, improv, collaborative challenges along with guided reflection.

Evidence of success - This workshop has been presented nationally and I am humbled still that I have so many educators reach out to me to continued support and to celebrate their successes in their own districts!
