Participants will understand how the skills used for breakout/escape room styled activities can be applied to digital activities in their content area.
Participants will design and construct their own digital breakout/escape room styled activity for their classroom. This will utilized ThingLink’s 360° Image Editor in conjunction with other web resources like (but not limited to) videos, websites, Google Docs, Slides, Forms, etc.
90-minute session will be broken into four components
15-minute “play time”, participants will select a ThingLink 360° Breakout to complete with a three minute debrief.
20-minute explanation of ThingLink’s 360° Image Editor
15-minute tips & tricks with embedded items like Google Forms
40-minute creation time, participants will design & create their own activity while presenter circulates assisting.

Dan is an NJ educator originally from Philadelphia. He currently is a Teacher Resource Specialist for Technology but has a background in Elementary Education. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Lebanon Valley College and a Master’s of Education in Instructional Technology from Arcadia University. After teaching for 8 years in PA as a fourth grade teacher, K-5 computer teacher, technology coach, & briefly as a middle school teacher; he moved to NJ to live with his wife Kristin. Dan is an Eagle Scout, a Google Certified Trainer and Google Educator levels 1 & 2, ThingLink Certified Educator Trainer, and Breakout EDU Trainer
