Learn about a creative station that teaches students to understand and apply emotional intelligence everyday. See how students were involved in the creative fabrication and programming of the station to teach them mood management, impulse control, empathy, self-esteem, motivation over frustration and more.

Purpose & objective

Emotional intelligence help students manage their feelings, think to make good decisions; motivating themselves with zeal and persistence; maintaining hope over frustration; exhibiting empathy and compassion; interacting smoothly with society; and managing any relationships effectively.

Outline

Activities: Use, connect and program a Raspberry Pi for dynamic activities in classroom.
Time: 30 min to assemble the joy detector station
20 min to design, plan and test an activity for any age.
20min Conclusion activity on how to teach and manage Emotional Intelligence for all ages.
Process: Random group collaboration to build a station, modify the program and apply the activity.
