Digital citizenship is a critical competency for our students today and our future leaders of tomorrow. Unfortunately, most schools either don’t teach digital citizenship or teach an incomplete version that falls far short of the key competencies that every student needs in order to discern fact from fiction, productively navigate relationships online and offline, and use technology to champion change they want to see in the world. Join us as we engage in a dialogue with ISTE members, educators, PLN leaders, conference participants and DigCitCommit collaborating organizations around a call to action to shift the digital citizenship conversation from one of fear and negativity (don’ts) to one of inclusivity, empathy and action (do’s).
