Purpose & objective

Attendees will be encouraged to participate by asking questions about Flipgrid for the moderators. Both will be encouraged to share success stories, providing new ideas that may be implemented into our classrooms, immediately.


Members of the #FlipgridFever "LIVE" panel will answer audience questions, share tricks and tips, and give examples of lesson ideas using the app, Flipgrid.

Sean Fahey, Five-Star Technology Solutions

Sean is a former elementary and middle school teacher from Southern Indiana. Currently, he works as an Innovative Learning Specialist with Five-Star Technology Solutions. In this role, Sean collaborates with teachers and guides them as an eCoach to help integrate technology into classrooms and make awesome learning experiences for students.

Kristin Merrill, Year

Kristin is a fourth grade teacher from Naples, FL. She is an ambassador for: Flipgrid, Seesaw, and Classkick. Kristin has co-hosted events like Ed Camp Flipgrid, and is also one of the moderators of the #FlipgridFever chat. She and her husband (Joe) are both featured on the Microsoft EDU web series: "Journey to Microsoft," which is available to view on Youtube now! Kristin has been teaching for over 12 years and works hard to engage students in learning by reaching them in ways that are responsive, relevant and interACTIVE through the intentional infusion of technology in the classroom!

Joe Merrill, Lake Park Elementary

Joe is a first grade teacher from Naples, FL. He has 8+ years of experience working in primary grade levels, and has been 1:1 four of those years. Joe is the author of the FREE “#AppSmashing with @MrMerrillsClass” (Vol. 1 & 2) eBooks, and is a co-moderator of the #FlipgridFever Twitter chat. Jennifer Saarinen, Kickemuit Middle School

A middle school educator at heart, Jennifer has worked in the Bristol Warren Regional School District in Rhode Island since 2004. As an early adopter of technology use in her teaching and learning, she served as an original member of the BWRSD Digital Learning Team and is currently part of BWRSD's Personalized Learning Fellowship. As the Inquiring Minds instructor, Jennifer promotes social emotional learning while embracing design thinking strategies as her students learn and create solution pathways to the UN Global Goals.

Scott Titmas, Old Bridge Township Public Schools

Scott is an experienced technology integration specialist and former classroom teacher working in Old Bridge, NJ. His role includes staff development, technology integration, EdTech platform management, and classroom practice. Scott is a Microsoft Innovator Educator Expert, MIE Fellow, Flipgrid Ambassador, and recently earned an M.Ed. in Learning and Technology from Western Governors University.

Claudio Zavala, I Am Claudius

Claudio Zavala Jr. is an instructional tech coordinator in Duncanville, TX and a edtech consultant based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Claudio is passionate about fostering creativity in the classroom and using creation tools to enrich learning and experiences in the classroom. He’s an Adobe Education Leader, an Alpha Squirrels, a Participate Community Advisor, Google Certified Educator and a Flipgrid Ambassador. Claudio is an experienced photographer, avid cinematographer, YouTuber, musician, cyclist and graphic designer.
