The presentation will focus on using CoSpaces with the Merge Cube add-on. Learn how to use VR and AR in all subject areas with minimal setup.

Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

Participants will learn how to infuse Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality into any subject area using CoSpaces.com and the Merge Cube. Some examples of how they can be used together and separately include student creations that explain skills or topics that from any class. Some of the Virtual Reality example lesson topics include The Solar System, Ancient Civilizations and the Water Cycle. Examples using the Merge Cube and Augmented Reality include vocabulary acquisition and self check of multiple choice questions.

Karen is an experienced Middle School teacher. She has been the technology teacher at the City of Pembroke Pines Charter Schools in Pembroke Pines, Florida for the past 20 years where she has taught Microsoft and Google products, as well as Coding and general computing skills. She is a Merge Ambassador, CoSpaces Ambassador, Google Certified Educator, Brainpop Certified Educator, Edmodo Ambassador and Certified Trainer, and Microsoft Innovative Educator. She also holds Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in PowerPoint and Word. She is passionate about giving students the necessary tools to maximize their potential in the ever-changing landscape of technology.
