Everyone wants to be a movie star! This session will take you behind the scene of Studio 5C, an online professional development that will not only earn you movie star status but address many of the ISTE Standards for Educators.

Purpose & objective

During this poster session participants will learn how Studio 5C and online professional development with help them meet and grow in the ISTE Educator Standards. During the session we will demonstrate how easy it is to earn movie star status and badges while developing lessons and projects for their classrooms.

Supporting research is a shortcut to Studio 5C.

Tammy Glass, Arkansas Department of Education
ISTE Certified

Tammy Glass has over 15 years in public school education. After starting a growing computer science program Tammy transitioned to Computer Science Specialist for Arkansas, where she has developed and presented professional developments across the state and at various conferences. Tammy's hope is that by sharing her experiences and knowledge with teachers they catch some of her excitement and can inspired to be great teachers just like others did for her. Tammy feels that when you have a desire to do something you are making an effort to reach your goal, your vision.

Tonia McMillan, Dawson Education Cooperative

Tonia has been in education for 33 years. She served 13 years as a classroom teacher, 8 as a math specialist, and the past 12 as a technology coordinator. She works with 22 school districts and over 3000 teachers in providing quality professional development in the use of technology in the classroom. In 2004, she received the Arkansas Dept. of Education Mentor Award. She is ISTE member and ISTE certified. Tonia has provided hundreds of professional development opportunites for educators from all over Arkansas with emphasis on educationa technology integration.
