An overview of the ISTE EDUCATOR STANDARDS will be provided with examples from EDUCATORS as to how they are applying the STANDARDS in practice in their school settings. Examples are from EDUCATORS who have participated in the ISTE Certification Training in Illinois.

  • Provide alternative ways for students to demonstrate competency and reflect on their learning using technology.

Stanley Gorbatkin, Gorbatkin Educational Leadership Svcs, LLC

Stan Gorbatkin continues to support innovation in public education after retiring with 34 years of Illinois Public School Service. He served on the Superintendent’s Cabinet and led the technology strategic planning process for IPSD 204 from 2010-2018. Stan has been a presenter/panelist at several events on the topics of Technology Visioning and Planning and Leadership Development. Appearances included ISTE (2018) CoSN (2017), EdSurge (2017), along with numerous local events. In addition, Stan appeared in the “Future Ready Leaders” video series as Indian Prairie was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in 2015.
