Pam Nicholson, Calcasieu Parish School Board
Pam Nicholson has 30 years of experience in education and currently serves as the Calcasieu Parish School Board technology training center coordinator in Lake Charles, Louisiana. In this role, she provides professional development to teachers and supports various district initiatives, including the Implementing a Technology-Enriched Curriculum (I-TEC) program and the Integrating Meaningful Practices Aligned with Curriculum and Technology (IMPACT) program. Nicholson also serves as the tech contact and facilitator for a Tech Showcase School. Previously, she served as the Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) facilitator for a districtwide implementation of Promethean ActivBoard and Activdevices. She serves on the Louisiana Association for Computer Using Educators (LACUE) board as the Region 5 area director. Nicholson has also served as a poster chair for the National Educational Computer Conference (NECC). She’s been a presenter at local, regional and national conferences on topics including integrating technology into curriculum, using handheld devices in curriculum and using Promethean ActivBoards in the classroom.
