Patty Quinones is the assistant superintendent of innovation for the St. Vrain School District where she oversees the district’s Innovation Center, leads the integration of STEM initiatives and innovative programs, and designs teacher PD. She’s instrumental in creating business and educational partnerships, and earning grants, including a $3.6 million I3 grant and a $16 million Race to the Top grant. Quinones also served as principal of Skyline High School where she developed the school’s STEM and performing arts academies. A frequent presenter at regional and national education conferences, she’s spoken at SXSW EDU, the Colorado Association of School Boards State Conference, CU Boulder, the Colorado Educational Initiative Showcase and the Boulder Maker Faire, to name a few. Quinones has earned the Colorado Succeeds Prize for Technology-Enabled Learning, the Colorado Technology Association Project of the Year award and the Amazon City on a Cloud Innovation Prize.
