This session focuses on the Profile of a Lifelong Learner - a set of dispositions and transferable skills that support lifelong learning and career success. The session also discusses the SkillRise initiative, the importance of edtech in supporting lifelong learning for all, and how SkillRise can support that mission. Key audiences include adult learning practitioners and leaders from adult basic education and literacy, community college, workforce development, and employer trainers.

Introduce the ISTE standards for lifelong learning. Explore importance of career readiness for K-12 organizations. Discuss the future of work and its implication for education.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Define the purpose of the Profile of Lifelong Learner
- Understand how the Profile was developed
- Provide reflections about the Profile and suggestions for needed on-ramps
- Articulate the importance of transferable skills for lifelong learning at their organizations
- Identify challenges and gaps associated with such skills (and dispositions)
