The Interactive Videoconferencing PLN invites you to play in this Olympic-size playground to take your classroom global! You'll learn how to find international collaborations and experts as well as the technology behind it. Game on!

The purpose of the playground is to share resources and current examples of online global connections and collaborations to support global learning objectives across the curriculum.
Objectives
-To demonstrate quality videoconferencing and online global collaboration examples from expert global educators.
-To provide hands-on demonstrations with emerging technologies.
-To demonstrate the many uses of online tools to connect, communicate and collaborate.
-To showcase videoconferencing cloud-based clients.
-To provide participants the opportunity to interact with ideas, equipment, and persons with global learning and videoconferencing expertise.
-To provide an informal and comfortable environment to network, learn, and share.
-To offer a place for participants to gain an understanding of all of the aspects of global collaboration from the technology to implement their own collaborations.
During this playground, the Interactive Videoconferencing PLN and Global Collaboration PLN will create an adventure for participants to explore global learning in an informal and fun manner! Participants will experience multiple types of hands-on technology. Experts in the field will help guide participants through the stations while they experience online local and global learning including connecting with schools, museums, and cultural organizations. Participants may focus on a particular software, hardware, and curriculum areas of their interest, or browse all at their leisure. Participants are encouraged to stay as long as they would like!
The format of this playground is to explore and learn!
-Presentations change every hour at each table
-Different types of videoconferencing technology
-Experts throughout the playground focusing on particular topics of global collaboration and videoconferencing
-Participants will explore how to leverage global collaboration to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
-Variety of presenters: content providers, educators, distance learning coordinators, technology specialists, global collaboration specialists
Participants will be able to take away information in a digital format as well as new contacts. The playground’s informal environment is perfect for attendees to talk one on one with experts and gain information at their leisure.
