It's no secret that our students are obsessed with social media. It gives them a platform to express themselves and share what they care about. It's up to us as educators to guide them in creating content that is personal, passionate, but most importantly, provides value for others.

Purpose & objective

Participants will learn about ways that students are currently using social media in positive ways and how it can be used as a tool for students to act as creative storytellers.

Participants will learn how creative storytelling will help students fulfill the ISTE Creative Communicator & Digital Citizen Student standards.

Attendees will be shown examples of student work which their own students can model in becoming creative communicators.
