As a result of their participation in this presentation, attendees will leave with a collection of ideas on how to revamp and restructure what professional development looks like in their schools. They will be able to offer teachers choice in how and where they learn outside of the traditional, sit and get, staff meeting. We have both utilized a variety of these ideas in our current placements and have seen success. One of the biggest issues with the traditional professional development is that it often does not offer teachers choice and as a result can seem somewhat irrelevant to them. By revamping PD we are helping solve this problem!
