People's Choice winner. In edtech, we often see the same presenters. Let's discuss how diverse presenters are breaking in and how to further the movement! There's been an influx of new presenters due to current events, but we need to ensure this is lasting change and address other voices that are still missing.

Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

Discuss diverse presenters in the educational technology space to enhance the cultural relevance, copmentancey, and leadership of others to empower them to share their unique voices with other educational technology educators.

Via our panel discussion participants will engage with the panelists and
- Examine their own culturally relevancy and competency
- Empower themselves or other educators on the campus to share their unique voices beyond their school site
- Discuss diversity in the educational technology space
- Build and grow their PLN to include more diverse perspectives

Evidence of Success:
- Participants PLNs will include more diverse educators
- Participants will create safe spaces on their campuses for diverse voices (school site, classrooms, etc)
- Participants will better understand areas of growth and where to seek out resources to aid in their self-development


Participants & facilitators will discuss their experience as EdTech presenters at various levels of their careers. Throughout the panel, participants will learn about:

- Advancing as a Presenter
- Collaborating with others, brands, or companies
- Using Your Voice as a Presenter
