Explore bringing virtual connections to your classroom in an engaging, intentional and powerful manner. Catch a glimpse of an Empatico connection between a classroom in the United States and Serbia. Authentic learning activities presented will demonstrate how students practiced interpersonal skills critical for building cross-cultural relationships in life.

Purpose & objective

Use digital tools to connect with learners inside and outside of their classroom by establishing virtual exchanges with a partner classroom.

Apply research to help create meaningful experiences and positive perceptions among children around the world. Spark curiosity for learning more about the world.

Inspire students to positively contribute to and responsibly participate in the digital world.

Explore Empatico Skills through activities to help students navigate intercultural experiences with curiosity, kindness, and respect.

Facilitate learning with technology to support student agency and achievement.

Explore everything needed to build meaningful connections through video exchanges: a partner classroom, activity plans, built-in video, messaging, and scheduling tools.

Participants will demonstrate understanding by sharing one activity that they would like to try with a partner classroom using Padlet.
