Join moderator and author Carl Hooker, host of the Learning Unleashed podcast, and a panel of ISTE authors for a lively discussion featuring insights and inspiration related to their experiences as educators over this most unusual year. What resources are especially helpful right now? How can schools ensure access to tools and devices for all students? How can teachers authentically connect with students in a virtual setting? What shifts in education brought on by the pandemic will, or should, remain in place going forward?
Attendees will get insights and inspiration from select ISTE authors about their experiences teaching in 2020, with tips, recommended resources, and strategies for how to thrive in an online/blended learning environment.

Michele Eaton is the Director of Virtual and Blended Learning for the M.S.D. of Wayne Township in Indianapolis, Indiana. She focuses on staff and course development for Achieve Virtual Education Academy and provides leadership for the district's blended initiatives. Michele is a 2018 EdWeek Leader to Learn From, CoSN CETL and 2016 Next Generation Leader, President of the ISTE Online and Blended Learning Network, Conference Chair for the Indiana Connected Educators organization, and moderator for the #INeLearn chat. Carl Hooker has been a part of a strong educational shift with technology integration during his 21 years in education. As Director of Innovation & Digital Learning at Eanes ISD, he has helped spearhead the program which put one-to-one iPads in the hands of all K-12 students in his 8000-student district. He's also the author of the six-book series titled Mobile Learning Mindset, a guide for teachers, administrators, parents and others to support and embrace mobile learning in our schools. He’s also a keynote speaker and a consultant for multiple school districts across the country.
Tim Needles is an artist, educator & author of STEAM Power: Infusing Art Into Your STEM Curriculum. He teaches art/media at Smithtown School District, is a TEDx Talk speaker, & his work has been featured on NPR, in the New York Times, Columbus Museum of Art, Norman Rockwell Museum. He’s the recipient of ISTE’s Technology in Action Award & Creativity Award, NAEA’s AET Outstanding Teaching Award, & The Rauschenberg Power of Art Award. He’s a Nat Geo Certified Teacher, PBS Digital Innovator, an ISTE Arts & Technology & STEM PLN leader, NAEA ArtEdTech interest Group leader, & Adobe Creative Educator.
