The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative was founded in 2015 to help solve some of society’s toughest challenges — from eradicating disease and improving education, to addressing the needs of our local communities. Our mission is to build a more inclusive, just, and healthy future for everyone.
Our Work In Education
We envision a country where demographics like race and socioeconomic status are not predictive of student outcomes, and every child enters adulthood with the knowledge, skills, habits, and agency they need to reach their full potential.
We believe that a whole-child approach to education is the most promising way to achieve this vision. We collaborate with students, educators, and families to create educational tools and experiences that effectively meet the holistic needs of every child.
Building Technology
We partner with Gradient Learning to create learning experiences and tools like those found in Summit Learning and Along to help teachers differentiate learning experiences equitably and foster strong connections with their students.
