Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

Participants will gain a better understanding of how to create more student centered lessons and student created multimedia projects.

Specific techniques using applications such as: Flipgrid, Wakelet, Buncee, Seesaw, and the Microsoft EDU suite will be shared. By the end of the session, the attendees will be able to walk away with ideas to implement into their classrooms immediately.

Outline

-Introduction (5 min)
Discussion of modern day classrooms--same proven pedagogy but need to update the presentation of information for the next generation of students.

Lesson ideas and strategies (40 min)
Examples from our own classrooms (First and Fourth Grade) that utilize technology in a way to promote student creativity, making learning more relevant and engaging.

-Reflection / Questions (5 min)
Time for audience to ask questions and reflect (interactively) via video.
