Growth Made Easy: Personalized Learning Paths (Learners AND Adults) That Save Time

Purpose & objective

Districts across the country are faced with the challenge of mitigating learning loss under time constraints. As educators, we often let time drive planning, as we try to take learners to mastery at a set pace. The natural flow of learning conflicts with this, as learners will grow at varying paces and have different entry points. This session will show participants how to organize content so learners can follow their own paths, while educators and coaches recapture time to support learners’ needs. It’s a small shift in organization that takes away the stress of time. This can be facilitated for learners through the Buerk Growth Tracker app for students and adults through a companion coaching platform, eSuite. This method has been employed since 2011 with success. It has increased achievement and rendered educator growth because, simply put, it works. This 2019 impact report (bit.ly/e2Limpact) shows results that have been achieved through applying this strategy to educator and learner growth, and using the platform to facilitate and provide educators strategies and online courses needed to implement.
