Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

The purpose of the session is for participants to gain an understanding of how to use an asynchronous/hyperdoc format to allow teachers to learn from each other.

Participants will know and understand how to use the hyperdoc format to share the information with their teachers. They will explore tools like google docs, google slides, and padlet.

Participants will know and understand how to utilize teachers in the video studies.

Participants will gain ideas about the type of content covered in each of the video studies.

Participants will debrief the pros and cons of providing these opportunities in this format.

Outline

Intro: Participants will participate in a video study to see what they are and how they work

Participants will learn how to create a hyperdoc and what each of the components are in the hyper doc.

We will review the types of things shared within the video studies and how they are gathering the information that is being shared. Participants will stop and jot about other ways they can collect and share information.

Participants will end by doing an exit ticket where they share out either content ideas or how they can utilize this in their schools.

Supporting research

This was primarily research - solution based answer to a problem that our school had which was teachers not being able to collaborate or see each other teaching because they weren't in the building with their students.
