Frederick is an ISTE Certified Educator, Google for Education Certified Innovator (#NYC19 cohort), Trainer, Coach, the founder and leader of GEG Minnesota Metro Area, a GEG Mentor for US - Midwest, a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert 20-21 and an Adobe Education Leader, that is passionate about leveraging technology to make the daily work of educators more efficient, their teaching more engaging, and their lives more fulfilling. Frederick has taught beginning instrumental music in Bloomington, Minnesota since 1998.
I'm from Ukraine. I have lived in the US for 14 years. I was an elementary teacher and administrator in Ukraine. I have a master's degree in elementary education and working on my second master's degree. Currently, I'm an elementary teacher at Riverside Elementary. I am working on implementing educational technologies for the last four years. I like hiking and painting during my free time. I have a teenage son.
Heidi MacGregor is the K-5 STEM Integration Specialist for Littleton Public Schools. Prior to this position, she taught 4th grade for 10 years at Russell Street Elementary School. Heidi is a proud ISTE Certified Educator and is a MakerSpace and Global Education enthusiast. She is always looking for new and exciting ways to amplify student voices. She serves on the MassCUE Board of Directors, the MassCUE Professional Development Committee, MassCUE Influence and Advocacy Committee and is the leader of the MassCUE MakerSpace SIG. In addition, she is one of the co-founders of Middlesex Scratch Meetups.
Rachelle Dene Poth is an edtech consultant, presenter, attorney, author, and teacher. Rachelle teaches Spanish and STEAM: Emerging Technology. Rachelle has Master’s in Instructional Technology. She is an ISTE Certified Educator, past-president of ISTE Teacher Education Network and on the Leadership team of Mobile Learning Network.She received the Making IT Happen Award in 2019. Rachelle is the author of five books, including her most recent True Story: Lessons That One Kid Taught Us and also has a book with ISTE “Chart A New Course: A Guide to Teaching Essential Skills for Tomorrow’s World."
Carmalita Seitz, director for ISTE Certification, works closely with the ISTE standards team to support and expand ISTE Certification. She has 20 years of experience as a coach and a leader in educational technology. Prior to joining ISTE, Carmalita was an educational technology integration coordinator at the Western NY Regional Information Center and the Professional Learning Director for NYSCATE, ISTE’s New York State affiliate. In 2012, she wrote and facilitated the implementation of the NYS VAP Grant. The purpose of the grant was to develop the capacity of local school districts to provide virtual learning (online and blended) Advanced Placement® (AP®) coursework to eligible students. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the New York State University College at Buffalo and a master’s degree from the University of New England in Maine.
Cindy Vavasseur (Dr. V) is a Professor of Educational Technology and the Program Chair for Master of Educational Technology Leadership at Nicholls State University. Nicholls is an ISTE Certification Provider and the first University to gain this distinction on first submission. Dr. Vavasseur is also the 2021 ISTE Teacher Education Network Award winner for Excellence in Teacher Education.
