Ariam Mogos, Stanford d.school
@aamogos Ariam Mogos leads emerging tech in education at the Stanford d.school, where she designs experiences for how to learn and create with emerging technologies, grounded in ethics and digital agency. She works on REP, a magazine for young people which explores the real-world implications of machine learning, blockchain, brain computer interface tech and IOT through hands-on activities. A constructivist educator passionate about creative computing, Mogos has worked at the intersection of education, technology, equity and play in the United States, Asia, Africa and Europe. Prior to the d.school, she was the learning lead for UNICEF’s Office of Innovation, designing global learning platforms, programs and models for UNICEF’s 190 country offices. Mogos has also worked on education technology initiatives with the World Bank, LEGO Foundation, the Kenyan government, the U.S. Department of State and Global Kids. She especially enjoys working with young makers and facilitates creative learning experiences in local libraries and recreation centers. Sessions: Mainstage: Inspire |
