Coral Lin, Duke University
Coral Lin graduated from Newton North last spring and is now a freshman at Duke University, hoping to study public policy or potentially design her own major. As a student in Ms. Brooks’ Design and Visual Communications program, she worked on the Main Street Project for 3 years. Being a part of the Design program and the Main Street Project was an invaluable opportunity Coral couldn’t pass up: it taught her to ask questions and approach problems like a designer. She hopes to study and address issues such as racial and social equity, climate change, and urban studies, and hopes that design thinking can be utilized to shape people-centered policy solutions.
