This presentation is built upon my lifelong success as an eBay seller which has coincided with my professional career in education over the past 20 years. I paid my entire college education by buying merchandise within my local community and re-selling it for a profit on eBay. Over the years I have sold several school buildings and vehicles on behalf of school districts no longer in need of these resources.
The model of sharing my passion for eBay by allowing students to create their own eBay business within their school learning environment has minimal start up costs, is easy to operate, and instills multiple educational lessons and learning experiences within students who participate.
The entrepreneurism aspect is vital to our students and has been infused within other sections of this proposal. Multiple lesson plans can be formed with direct connections to the ISTE standards on the topics of online businesses, sales, marketing, data analysis, customer service, and supply chain management involving packaging and shipping of items.
The purpose of this presentation is to change the world for our students by empowering them with skills needed to be successful in todays world.
Overall I am super excited to be given the opportunity to present this session at ISTE 2022!
