Pre-K to Policy: Why Educators are Critical to Policy and Legislation

Corey L. Gordon is K-12 Northeast Strategist. He is coming from the NYC DOE, where he was an Educational Analyst for the largest school district in the US. In his role, Corey focused on the strategic planning of school budgets and interventions impacting instruction and student achievement, like the English New Learners, Special Education intervention programs, and MTSS. Corey's experiences range from the Classroom to the District Level supervision and over 10 years of consulting experience with NASA, the Virginia Department of Education, and the US Department of Education.

Kristina Ishmael is an educator, learner, advocate, and agent of change. She is the Deputy Director of the Office of Ed Tech leading the office in its vision and execution of priorities focused on improving teaching and learning.
