With a 12 years' experience in teaching Geography and ICT at the secondary level, I am extremely enthusiastic in focusing on helping my colleagues in exploring, innovating, and invigorating the way we teach, assess, and learn. AI tools have become a major part of my life starting with april 2023 when for the first time we had a discussion in the school about this new phase in global education. Since then, I have practiced, tried different tools, had sessions with teachers, students, and parents in order to be prepared and have a comprehensive view over the ethical implications.

Session description

Starting with april 2023 my journey learning more about AI and how to implement it in the day-to-day teaching, learning, and assessing, testing over 100 tools or platforms. This knowledge then created a focus group in our school to create good practices that will be shared with you.

Purpose & objective

Purpose:
Showcase a selection of AI tools and platforms that have been tested and deemed successful in the educational process so that other educators have a starting point to use in their classrooms and learning leaders could model our CPD in their schools or districts.

Objectives:
Participants will be able to use at a moderate level at least 2 AI tools or platforms successfully understanding the limitations and possibilities.
Participants will be able to access and put in practice a series of good practices evaluated, scrutinised and ethically correct lessons or activities made by English, Humanities (History, Geography, Global Perspective, Psychology), Science, Primary, Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish and French) and Assistant teachers.
Participants will see firsthand Classpoint as a method of gamification of a lesson with the pros and cons.
