Purpose:
Showcase a selection of AI tools and platforms that have been tested and deemed successful in the educational process so that other educators have a starting point to use in their classrooms and learning leaders could model our CPD in their schools or districts.
Objectives:
Participants will be able to use at a moderate level at least 2 AI tools or platforms successfully understanding the limitations and possibilities.
Participants will be able to access and put in practice a series of good practices evaluated, scrutinised and ethically correct lessons or activities made by English, Humanities (History, Geography, Global Perspective, Psychology), Science, Primary, Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish and French) and Assistant teachers.
Participants will see firsthand Classpoint as a method of gamification of a lesson with the pros and cons.
Part 1 Ethics of AI - 20 min
What are the main concerns when it comes to ethical use of AI in schools and how do you correctly reference AI work?
Part 2 Good practices - 15 min
Showcase at least 2 methods of usage of AI tools in the classroom from the pool of activities made by the CPD teachers. Access to many other and understanding the fair use of them.
Part 3 Gamification and AI - 15 min
Pros and Cons when it comes to gamification and showcase Classpoint, an app used this year extensively.
