Session description
Join us in the Mile-High Creative Constructor Studio at Camp Creativity for some hands-on making!
Create paper puppets and a puppet theater with Colorado artist and puppeteer extraordinaire Patti Smithsonian! In Victorian times, cutting out and assembling printed pages of theater replicas was all the rage. Now you can create your own – using mixed media, drawing, and collage, design your paper characters and theaters, or combine templates to create new unique designs.
Colorado-based artist, Patti Smithsonian, has performed her creative puppet theater worldwide. She blends ancient puppetry traditions, myth, and storytelling with contemporary experiences. Her performances are known for their humor and wild imagination. Patti is a teaching artist with Arts 360 for Learning.
Drop in for 10 minutes or stay as long as you want – see you at the Camp studio for some puppet-making fun!
