Olga Romero, Ed.D., is an equity-driven, bilingual educational leader with over a decade of experience leading school transformation, district innovation, and strategic academic initiatives across Texas public education systems. She currently serves as the executive director of secondary school leadership at Fort Worth Independent School District where I supervise and coach secondary principals to drive student outcomes, instructional excellence, and operational alignment. Romero previously served as the founding principal of Dallas Hybrid Prep at Dallas Independent School District (ISD), Texas’ first digital hybrid public school, where I designed a personalized, blended instructional model.
At Dallas ISD, she also led Hall Personalized Learning Academy with an outstanding turnaround team that achieved an A rating, exemplifying her belief in the power of aligned leadership and culturally responsive systems. Romero has also served as an adjunct professor in educational leadership at Texas Christian University (TCU) and Southern Methodist University (SMU), where she mentored aspiring school leaders and supported the development of equity-focused leadership pipelines. She also has experience in public affairs and corporate communications, including serving as a spokesperson for Southwest Airlines, where she led national media and diversity engagement strategies. Romero holds a doctorate in educational leadership and policy from Southern Methodist University (SMU), and is committed to using innovation as a lever for social justice. Her leadership is values-driven, student-centered, and grounded in the belief that all students deserve transformational learning experiences — regardless of background.
